FighterStatus.com keeps cookies to a minimum, but it does use analytics. This page lists everything that is set.
Essential
- csrftoken — protects forms (sign-in, comments, the newsletter signup) against cross-site request forgery. Expires after one year.
- sessionid — set when you sign in to a FighterStatus account, and keeps you signed in.
- fs_nl — short-lived; remembers whether you ticked the newsletter box while you are redirected to Google or Facebook to sign in.
Analytics
- Google Analytics (
_ga,_ga_*) — counts visits and shows which pages are read. Set on every page. - Ahrefs Web Analytics — measures traffic and referrers. Cookieless, but it does record a visit server-side.
These tell us which fighters and events people actually read about. They are not used for advertising, and we do not sell the data.
What we don't use
No advertising cookies and no cross-site ad trackers. If that ever changes, this page and the privacy policy will be updated first, and consent will be requested where the law requires it.
Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; the site remains browsable, though forms may not submit without the CSRF cookie.
