You can delete your FighterStatus account yourself, at any time, from the website or the Android app. It takes about ten seconds and nothing is held back for a waiting period.
If you can sign in
- Sign in at fighterstatus.com or open the FighterStatus app.
- Go to your profile — the account icon in the top right.
- Choose Delete account, retype your username to confirm, and submit.
Your account is deleted immediately.
If you cannot sign in
Email us from the address on the account via the contact page and ask for deletion. We will confirm it is your address and delete the account, normally within a few days.
What is deleted
- Your username, email address and password
- Your Google or Facebook sign-in connection, if you used one
- Your newsletter subscription, both here and at our email provider
What is kept, and why
Comments you posted on event pages stay on the site, but they are unlinked from you and shown as [deleted] rather than under your username. This is so that replies from other people still make sense to readers — deleting a comment would take everyone's replies to it with it. Nothing in a kept comment identifies you.
Standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) are kept briefly for security and then discarded on the normal schedule described in our privacy policy.
Deleting the app
Uninstalling the Android app does not delete your account, because the account lives on the website. Delete the account first if that is what you want.
